LOCATION

Venice
In the historic heart of the city, easily reached from the train station and car garages and by vaporetto, Villas Venice apartments and bed & breakfasts are located in the most picturesque and authentic corners of Venice. From the Cannaregio district, to Strada Nuova near Ponte delle Guglie, a 5-minutes' walk from the Rialto Bridge, to the San Polo district near St. Mark's Square and Rialto, there is plenty to choose from for an unforgettable and romantic sojourn in Venice.

Cannaregio is the animated "sestiere," or district, crossed by Strada Nuova, the long, appealing promenade that runs from Rialto to St. Mark's in an endless procession of vendors' stalls and local markets, stores and artisan shops, "bacari" (typical Venetian inns) and tiny restaurants. In this district you will find true gems of Venetian art and history, such as Ca' Vendramin Calergi (the Venice Casino), Ca' d'Oro, the Chiesa di Santa Maria dei Miracoli, among the tiny squares and streets that convey the allure of authentic Venice and the splendor of St. Mark's Square.

Don't miss Canal Grande: admire the grandeur of Venice by water on a vaporetto (ACTV lines, no. 1 and no. 82) or from a romantic gondola.

San Polo, near St. Mark's Basilica, is the smallest district of Venice. Central and vibrant with activity, it is a jewelry box of precious works of art and the custodian of Venice's ancient merchant tradition. In fact, here you will find the lively Rialto Market which sells fruit and vegetables and dates back at least to the 17th century, as well as the noisy Pescheria, the fish market. Every morning an explosion of colors and voices welcomes Venetians and tourists in search of the season's first fruits and of fresh catch from the lagoon and sea. Among the artistic masterpieces not to be missed, don't forget the Chiesa dei Frari, adorned with amazing paintings by Titian and Bellini, and the Scuola Grande di San Rocco, with paintings by Tintoretto.

Brenta Riviera
Following the course of the Brenta River, the Brenta Riviera links Venice, the historic capital of the Serenissima Venetian Republic, to Padua, a city with an age-old university tradition.
From the Brenta Riviera just a few minutes from Venice, in less than an hour on the road you can reach VERONA, whose arena hosts a prestigious Opera Season, VICENZA famous for its Palladian villas, TREVISO and its Marca Gioiosa, sought after by wine lovers, and PADUA "la dotta," or the wise, with St. Anthony's Basilica and Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel.
A magical charm pervades the Brenta Riviera, land of earth and water that sets the stage for the scenic Villas overlooking the Naviglio canal. Here, from the end of the 1400's and throughout the 1700's, Venetian patricians built residences in which to spend their summer holidays. At the time, a Villa on the Riviera was a true status symbol and thus famous architects and painters were engaged to construct sumptuous villas meant to impress guests and fellow citizens.

In the midst of these marvels, you will find Villas Venice apartments and bed & breakfasts located in historic villas and nearby the picturesque villages Mira and Dolo.

A visit to the Brenta Riviera means exploring antique villas, unique nature walks, relaxing cruises on the Brenta River, and excellent cuisine inspired by Venetian tradition. Don't miss: Villa Foscari La Malcontenta, one of the best examples of rural architecture by the great architect Palladio; Villa Widmann Rezzonico Foscari, a 17th century dwelling of rococo forms embellished by a theatrical garden and the exquisite frescoes of the reception hall; Villa Barchessa Valmarana, located in one of the most beautiful passages of the Brenta Riviera, with splendid paintings, a well-groomed Italian garden, and period furnishings; monumental and imposing Villa Pisani, a veritable palace with a spectacular park and 114 rooms decorated with frescoes, including a masterpiece by Tiepolo in the Ballroom.
Only a few kilometers away is the amazing PO Delta, numerous Adriatic Riviera beaches, the Euganee thermal baths, and the Prosecco Road.
